Since the sun is a nuclear fusion reactor, and almost all energy on the earth came from it (some is from tidal forces, and some is from radioactive decay of heavy elements) that means that technically all power generation is more or less direct nuclear fusion power, except for tidal generators and nuclear fission reactors
I guess if I were to list my favorite games I'd have to list them by categories because sometimes you get one with a fantastic story but mediocre gameplay and a lack of polish
like Xenoblade doesn't just have the boob-armor problem, it's also full of fetch quests, the combat system could have had a lot more interesting quirks and strategy to it, the world could have had more unique items to find... There are a lot of things I'd change about it if I were able.
Playing through Xenoblade again because I suspect I am going to get Xenoblade 2 for christmas
I had forgotten how much it succumbs to the "female armor is as revealing as possible" thing
And just generally it seems like it could use a little more polish
It's a great story but the gameplay is a little lacking. I hope they can improve upon it in the sequel. And stop it with the boob armor.

I just had a thought about how it's weird that all fictional hive-minds generally still have some queen or overlord
or other building-sized entity. How about a hive-mind with no social ranking whatsoever? Just a bunch of (cute) drones wandering about contently building some giant city somewhere or something?
The only problem I can think of is when they get a phone call and the person on the other end asks for the one in charge.

I imagine dragon-like creatures, when talking in non-draconic, would attribute gender to creatures based on the action they're expressing, not anything else
so they would be talking about a friend and say he's a good warrior and also she's a good cook, because they just naively assume that's how it is said
they would say, the queen, he's a good ruler, yes, the queen, she cares for us, he fights for us!

I'm not going to be very active here for a few weeks while I'm visiting family.
Some positive news, though: I came out to my mom as agender yesterday. She didn't seem to really understand, but she was supportive and didn't think it was a bad thing or anything.
It was a stressful experience, even so.

why is it that aluminum electrolytic capacitors are marked on the negative side, while tantalum electrolytic capacitors are marked on the positive side? That just seems like a recipe for disaster to me (those tantalum ones tend to catch fire, and aluminum ones pressurize and explode, when you connect them the wrong way)
bleeeeh, two finals today and tomorrow is entirely consumed in plane trip and travelling to/from airports
Camera controls are always awkward, whether you pick normal or inverted. There are always times when they feel backwards no matter which you pick.
