We have had a copy of Castlevania: Lament of Innocence for a while, but never actually played it. Today, I'm fixing that! It's not really metroidvaniaish, which makes it automatically not as good as the metroidvania castlevanias, but it's a decent... whatever you call this type of game. Action-slash-beat⸗em⸗up⸗slash-adventure-exploration-thingy?
it always amuses me to remember what a fiasco Julius Caesar's first attempt to conquer Britain was.
Romans were terrible sailors (they're used to the calm Mediterranean, after all), and it was stormy (the boats carrying all of the cavalry had to turn back!), and they reached shore _right_ in the middle of the white cliffs of Dover, and of course they couldn't land there or anywhere near there, so they had to sail down the coast for miles, and it didn't get much better from there
The reasoning is that if the Riemann hypothesis is false, then it would definitely be possible to prove it false, by finding a counterexample (the Riemann hypothesis is a statement that all the zeroes of a particular function have a particular property, and if you were to find one that doesn't, that would disprove it)
so if it's not possible to prove it either way, true or false, then it must be true.
