My proudest gaming moment was that day where we were trying to fix our sleep schedule and tried to stay awake with friends in a discord group call by streaming movies, games and various other stuff, and at one point I was like "okay I'm gonna stream a Downwell run really quick but I'm sleep deprived and haven't played it in months so I might not get very far" then proceeded to decimate the game and finish a run FIRST TRY

@stackingstones@todon.nl I still think it's important to define a term for re-evaluating a person's world view as if colonialism and the ideals it begat are not & should not be taken for granted.
Because colonialism does span every aspect of our current lives, including the way we see the world, model them, and solve problems.
But it's not the same as the practice of brutal land robbery, genocidal conquests and ongoing cultural erasure and displacement.
Fighting the two involves very different praxis.

my hot cyberpunk take is i don't think technology is bad
every cyberpunk thing is like "in the future everyone uses VR instead of being in the REAL WORLD, wake up sheeple" but here in 2021 the Real World is a soul sucking corporate hellscape and VR is a safe space with queer people finding each other and forming genuine friendships so idk
maybe technology is actually inherently cool and the part you should hate instead is capitalism turning it into a predatory shitfire
