It's pretty interesting how this year had been transformative to all of us. I found out that I am agenderfemme, that it's okay to be an apath, that I am aromantic, but not completely so. I also had a bit of trauma relating to fronting too that I overcame, and I ended up fronting more often.
That is not to mention how far @FreyaManibrandr came forward herself. We are a system of protean quality and it shows in how much we grew in this year alone. I am proud of us, and for the first time in my life, I am happy with myself.

I have a strong feeling that this is going to sow the same seeds of mistrust that I saw giving rise to altfurry back in 2016. Stay vigilant against racism, transphobia, ableism, or any form of oppressive bigotry taking root in your communities, but also be aware of when you are operating under paranoia.
After all, the strongest antidote against the kind of culture that facilitates fascism in any form is forming meaningful familial-like bonds with each other, and to do so, you need to build trust in one another. Just like how vines grows and wedges into gaps in the loose bricks, so does fascism grow within the gaps between us all and keeps us alienated from one another.
Stay strong, stay vigilant, and be good to one another.

Quick reminder: If people are venting about racism on the fedi, particularly with regards to the snouts incident, and it's not a defense of screenshot dunking or a direct accusation towards you, it's not about you. Don't make it about you.

Last meta statement regarding snouts
Just let snouts pass onto the wind. Regardless of what happened, regardless of how this all turned out, snouts is closing down.
Don't harass anyone who was on staff, don't harass anyone at all frankly. If you're part of the folks who are harassing Tori and Shel, cut that shit out, what do you get out of it? Why? Snouts is dead, go elsewhere.
Just leave everyone who was involved in snouts alone and let it die off peacefully. Please.

The fact that people are defending this is....concerning. And no, the allegations of the people being dunked on being racist doesn't make it better, it just means that both your hands are dirty now.
