Hello everyone. We were wondering if there is a drug that helps with being unemotional while having a BPD episode like alcohol does. We are taking Valium at the moment and the one time we did alcohol and had a BPD episode it helped a lot more then Valium ever did.
Mastodon, you are our only help. <3

@Freylet Mom-in-law says zoloft was the first she was on that made her feel nothing.

@Freylet After that she was on Lexapro then Wellbutrin

@Fuego *nods lots* Those sound like long term drugs. We need something that only happens when BPD is happening

@Freylet mmnnn I don't know that I've heard of anything like that existing? Not to say it doesn't but I don't know about it :(

@Fuego Thats totally cool. Thanks ^_^

@Freylet @Fuego not quite the same as having a full stop mechanism but lexapro has "evened out" my emotions in a manner that could be descibed as discontinuing them on some level. Mostly now I only actively feel emotions when they are particularly strong, otherwise I'm fairly numb overall. Probably not 100% what it's supposed to do heh but sounds along the lines of what you mean.

@benjipup Funnily enough we are taking Lexapro and have since 16. There needs to be a BPD drug.

@Freylet dang. I agree if there isn't something for it there definitely needs to be. 😤

@Freylet My sister in law has BPD and has a drug like this - I'll ask but she hates that it makes her feel nothing and rarely takes it
