@noiob haha so you just kind of have to take as rote all the weird shit strings can do that you're not taught or allowed to do?

oh well - god speed ;)

@noiob yeah, vectors is your answer for that, if what you want is someone to handle a data structure's memory management for you.

Failing that, use a linked list over an array if you want to have a variable sized list that you just iterate through and are not using constant time access of.

What did they decide is advanced? Why make someone write C++ and not C if they cant use a vector?

so strange

@noiob its pretty damn old - anything "modern" they tried to put in was shoehorned in later and badly.

What in particular are you looking to get done?

@noiob Naw, it deserves it... I try to write zero classes in C++, and never ever use the iostreams...

@literorrery we are both shook up but fine. He realized very quickly he had made a mistake in his targeting.

Do not grab a girl in a parking lot. Def dont grab a girl in the parking lot of an aikido dojo. Really super dont grab a girl kosetori in the parking lot of an aikido studio literally they day after they drilled kosetori throws a lot.

Wish i had the time and money to train BJJ again and also that it didn’t completely destroy my body :/

@ctrlaltdog@chitter.xyz they translate the frames that run over a medium that can travel a long distance (fiber/ppp/etc) into the frames that run over ethernet.

You will need some hardware to do this always

masto malloc nerd shit

@bea honestly if you aren't worried about memory corruption bugs then jemalloc is probably the way to go ;)

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world was that paying work defines your value.

@bea dlmalloc is oldschool "regular", but it depends on your system whats default.

jemalloc fragments (very) much less than dl for sure, but is also very very predictable

tcmalloc fragments less but at the expense of using WAY more memory on some programs

@sireebob@cybre.space *slams the clone button* *changes all her hardware*

@angrboda today i wrote the code so you can feed it a starfinder story module pdf and itll parse all the monster data put of it into objects that can fight on their own ;)

@angrboda i think they do different stuff? Like they let you store all the info and show it remotely as though you were all at a table and then automate some stuff?

Im automating all the stuff that isnt “tell the story” on the dm side, and ive got all of python to modify things on the fly instead of a little macro language

Basically i dont really want to play starfinder i just want to RP ;)
