@Rei @Ficus @fluxom_alt @sans Get in, losers, we're gonna have a nice evening.
Co-starring @Draekos because we haven't put enough people in this thread yet. I think that's also @Electrum and @Kae_meows while we're at it!
vrchat, IoT, terrible ideas
A few days ago, @Veladynee and I discussed having real world objects controllable by avatar limbs, like bumping a light switch with a tail and having that dim the lights in our home.
I don't know if this is an amazing idea (because of how awesome it would be) or a terrible one (because of how much of a security nightmare it is to connect ifttt to internet controlled anything).
I ADORE THIS
AND EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS

re: recruiters
@RebelsHeart After several years of receiving this from certain job sites and companies, definitely ignore, unless I want to share my metrics with that particular company (rare, typically indies).
Reason being: recruiters, particularly large tech recruiters, will frequently leverage any contact information to attempt an upsell to meet their contact and hire quotas, similar to sales reps. In addition to being mentally and emotionally exhausting, doing so promotes spam.

re: tech, disinfo
@Taylor This is one of those cases where it's easier to instrument virtual cores and Windows extensions to actually do this instead of make a viral video that fakes it. Whyyyyyy.
re: tech, disinfo
@Taylor Damn. Oh well!
re: tech bullshit, roasting DNS
@chr ... dragons, however, are good at scaling.
uspol covid important, activism
@cdmnky Reminder, however, that there are data sources that are still trustworthy.
For WA, for example, they're here with methodology mentioned in the footnotes: https://www.doh.wa.gov/Emergencies/Coronavirus
Some folks are also privately aggregating data. Rebekah Jones, who was fired for not politicizing the numbers in Florida, has her own dash for the state here: https://floridacovidaction.com
I believe aggregators for these exist, but more are welcome.

Not that the game is entirely legible on this small a device, and HID is weird, but it plays.
