Just an idea for a feature.
Perhaps an additional privacy setting that allows you to post just to local timeline and followers and not the instances your instance is federalized with.
This is for stuff that might be instance community related or you just want to limit the initial spread of a toot/awoo.

the fact that ostatus is based on rss so I can track artists in my rss reader already makes mastodon/gnusocial/ostatus a better platform than furaffinity

I have a fairly impressive smart TV in my bedroom. I got it as a gift, I think.
Funny. I only use it occasionally to watch the news. If at all. 📺
I've downloaded a lot of android apps from F-Droid. 76 apps, in fact.
I find its FOSS apps to be lighter than those found in the Play Store. So, since my phone's storage space is tiny, I prefer them.

to be honest, the lack of an exclusive federated namespace in mastodon is causing me a weird kind of social/tech anxiety. i now have accounts on three instances and can't decide which to use, and they don't share follow lists. any advice from more seasoned mastodon users?

#Mastodon feature request: allowing replies to yourself to be public/listed so we can chain toots.
I wish I could join a social media site with a feature that allows me to subscribe to a collection of filters or mute lists. That way I don't have to build my own from scratch.
Given these new Japanese instances, I should try to learn the language (again.)

Wrote for 2hrs today.
Mostly editing and formatting. Halfway done with Act 1, 8th revision. Looks like source code now, using Markdown with indented semantic linefeeds.
