Oops car broke. Thank fuck it chose to break down as I was getting off the highway, and not on the highway itself. Especially since I think a CV joint just up and disintegrated, considering the car's wheels spin freely regardless of what gear I put it in. Even in park. Engine runs, no fluid leakage, speedometer goes up in relation to the tachometer when in drive. Managed to pull into a barely ever used section of roundabout to call for a tow. Home now, and waiting for morning to tow car to shop.

Also not shown: two more constructors just built to mass produce biofuel for the power plants. I have a shitload of wood and leaves to turn into solid biofuel (basically pellets). Everything running right now maxes out two of the three power plants I have operating.

Okay, optimized my base a bit now that I've unlocked a bunch of stuff! First picture shows my MASSIVE iron ore storage facility, a 2x3 stack of storage cubes. Those are fed by 4 miners (2 of them are in the second screenshot), and feed 2 smelters for iron ore. All 4 miners and the two smelters are fed by a small power plant that you can't really see because it's up against the cliff I'm standing on. The smelters feed into another storage cube, which feeds 3 constructers! 2 of them are on iron plate duty, and the third is on iron bar duty. I need a LOT of them, so those are going to run for a few hours. The HUB is to the right of the smelters; that's essentially my home base. And the MASSIVE structure in the background is the space elevator, where I send off specific items made to unlock further research! Second picture shows 2 of the miners at a lower elevation, with the ore being lifted up to the elevation the storage facilities are at. Third picture shows my copper production that I haven't cleaned up yet. You can kind of see the miner. What isn't shown is the power plant and smelter, but behind and to the right of the giant rock foundation is where I fabricate the copper ingots into wire, which gets run up to a storage cube near the space elevator.
re: Satisfactory, lizard doggo, ec?
Oh no lizard doggo brought me nuclear waste D: I'm not ready to deal with that! Had to drop the barrel near my limestone storage, and can't pick it up again until my health is full. It hurts to touch!
re: Satisfactory, lizard doggo, ec?
It's like a lobster and a lizard had a love affair, and at some point a coonhound got involved! I love them <3
Some of the things I like about the game is I can build vertically, unlike with the 2D limitations of Factorio (which I do need to get back to at some point) and there's pettable lizard dogs! There's also multiplayer support which might be fun to do at some point. It's an early release game though, so still things that need to be done, but it's still very playable and is being updated fairly regularly it seems!
Been playing a new game past couple nights! Satisfactory! It's like a 3D Factorio! After watching Let's Game It Out play the game in ways it was never meant to be played (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrBjj4brdIRwRkGTLKqH5hlS_mlMYn_J0 the playlist is backwards; the first video is at the bottom) I knew I had to try it out at least. I haven't gotten far, but I did at least manage to get basic mining and fabricating started! Mined a shitload of iron, too.
re: Food
@tsunderdog Oh yeah, it would help. Problem is, if I want to get sugar in bulk I don't think a glass container would help too much (and would get ridiculously expensive for one that big :P)
re: Food
@tsunderdog Mostly looking at dry ingredients like flour, sugar, and rice. Sugar would definitely need to be airtight to prevent clumping/infestation though.
re: Food
Ooh, I could get 60 1 gallon mylar bags (heat sealed airtight bags that also block light; these also include factory sealed oxygen and moisture absorbers) for like $40 too! Granted it's not good for repeated usage, but if I ever had the energy to do so I could prepare entire meals (or at least the dry ingredients) for long term storage for those lazy days when I just want to enjoy a delicious meal but with only the work of throwing it all in the crock pot or pressure cooker and enjoying! Some of those meals can require a considerable amount of prep work, but having it all done ahead of time and stashed in long term storage bags would be quite handy!
Food
Considering getting some bulk food storage containers so I can keep certain essentials in bulk in my basement. Things like rice, sugar, and flour. I know of a couple places I can get 40-50lb bags of such for much cheaper per pound/kilo than the grocery store. Problem is finding decent food grade storage containers that aren't nearly $200 each D: Rubbermaid makes some nice ones that are durable, stackable and can be accessed without downstacking anything, but those are heavy duty commercial bins that cost over $100 EACH.
Luckily I can get some nice 22qt containers from a local restaurant supply wholesaler for $20 each. Granted I'll need 2 per bulk bag, but still, $40 for storing a bag's worth of ingredients is a better price than the $240 at least one place wanted for a 50 quart bin D:
So uh, anyone know any artists that do animated commissions? ...preferably to sound clips? Because I really want an animated commission of Kilroy angrily squeaking at the viewer like this desert frog does in this clip :https://t.co/RBRagDGz22
@masklayer Depending on the program/web viewer, you can filter your notifications so that you only see certain ones, including poll results! You may need to go into notification settings and enable "Display all Categories" in the quick filter bar options to get it for the web version though; not sure about mobile apps.
In related news, I think I'm just about done with transferring files and cleaning up duplicates. Holy shit that took almost a full week to do (less if you don't count the hours I had to work)
