I have very little motivation to do anything today and I feel unaccountably tired and sleepy. I keep settling in for fifteen minute naps, having nonspecific unpleasant but not really nightmarish dreams, and waking up marginally more rested but not much.

@Jacel Doctors being dismissive is something that keeps coming up from a lot of people - as bad as it is in the USA, I have consistently heard worse about U.K. and Canada. :(

@Jacel Sleep Cycle, for your iPad, can use the mic to automatically record snoring, among other things (detect sleep quality via restlessness); might be worth a look.

@Jacel If it’s any information that helps your GP: even with the anti-inflammatory nasal spray, you snore every night. It is slightly less severe with the spray but not much.

Reading tcrf.net on the topic of the original Pokemon games makes me realize something fundamentally missing from the last decade of the game- dungeons you can meaningfully get lost in. Welp, there it is, easily the greatest coding obscenity I have written this year

Casting 0x8 to a pointer type so the compiler will accept my implementation of init on a type extending NSObject for which no zero-argument init can reasonably be defined, my designated initializer has nonnull parameters of difficult to initialize types, and I have to put *something* there because Xcode doesn’t understand that the assertion failure I wrote will stop the program anyway.
