@kelseyhusky @adeptomega @literorrery Heeee! <3
@literorrery @adeptomega o.o t-that would be a thing that would be helpful yes, Mistress.
Hmm...any advice for wearing thigh-high socks?
I love having them on, but dislike the constantly having to keep pulling them back up all the way.
Also - feeling a lot better thanks to efforts by my husband, Mistress @literorrery and fellow pet @adeptomega. <3 Turns out what I needed was time with all of them and time to myself to relax and enjoy and just...be me.
Mood State
Day was mostly busy enough that my mood this morning didn't transfer over into customer interactions (thankfully). I feel a little bit like I'm a burden right now, needing so much emotional support.
I'm trying to stay mindful of the good that happened today, it's just hard and I'm tired. I'll be glad when work is done tomorrow.
guns, shootings [2/2]
@mawr *eeps, hugs Mawr* I'm really glad you're okay!
@adeptomega HUFF!
@emanate thankfully that was after the comic club had already dispersed. And honestly I'm grateful you and Jaesun didn't have to deal with that (and Simon too but for different reasons). :P
@vahnj aiieeeeeee so cute! :D :D
CW Stalker Behavior
I mean, I think the above description doesn't do it justice. He was trying his damnedest to make himself seem like a "good guy." And to suddenly be confronted with the realization that he was the stalker made me feel intensely uncomfortable. It took a lot of willpower to be in any way diplomatic when I gave him the personal effects we had been asked to by his ex. And that he decided to come by when the store was empty was doubly creepy.
CW Stalker Behavior
Tonight I encountered a human being that spent a good 15-20 minutes in the store desperately seeking conversation and seeking a way to keep the conversation going (he literally tried to talk to me about Jodorowski and the jazz I was playing on the store radio). It wasn't until he introduced himself that I realized we'd banned him 3 weeks ago for stalking his ex and following her to one of our game nights. Guh what a creepy fuck.
Petplay Talk
Was having a casual conversation with Mistress @literorrery about Pokémon go's new expansion and she suggested we have a date night to go on regular gym raids around Northgate...and now my head is kind giggly and nice at the idea of being taken on a walk with my fellow pet. >.>'
@adeptomega Greg Rucka on Wonder Woman is possibly one of my favorite writers for the book. His voice for the character gives me chillllls!
It's a nice day outside. I decided to treat myself to some Russian dumplings. Tomorrow's comics look real good. Rucka's final issue of his WW run had me tearing up a little, and I could not get past the first page of the Batman/Elmer Fudd crossover (yes you read that right) without bursting into laughter.
Secret Empire continues to be an exercise in a writer flailing about wildly saying "give me tiiiiiime I promise it's worth it!" ....and yknow I've given him 2 years and 5 issues.
It's not.
@mawr @literorrery @adeptomega I still have to introduce you all to Windy City <3
@indi *hugs for you* I'm doing good! I survived pride on the hill, kinda had a very strange (but ultimately good) Sunday. And am recuperating and putting my head back on correctly this afternoon.
One of the things I have found oddly enjoyable about working the full shift on Monday - I often get here early enough to sit in the office for about 10 minutes or so and just make a list of about 9-10 things I want to work on today.
They can be anything from "hey write this check" to "build new signage for activity xxxx." I think I should do this more often maybe? It helps keep me organized (as long as I keep the list nearby that is)
I did discover a very interesting interpretation of a s'mores yesterday. They used a waffle made with graham crackers in the batter, and put out a bowl with some wood chips that had been lightly burned (they were still warm). The result is a distinct smell of a campfire when you bite into the s'mores waffle.
Tonight a fellow pet's journey across the continent concluded. We welcomed her with many hugs and shared joy. My heart is warm and full tonight, and for the first time in a while I look towards the future with a bit of optimism.
I know the road ahead will be hard. Many trials still await us, and there is still so much wrong in the world. But tonight proved to me that the capacity for joy still exists in the world, and I will take that and make the most of it.
Welcome home, @adeptomega
