Writing
I'm about to sit down to attempt a new writing endeavor. For me. On some project I haven't worked on it a while (I have a couple).
I'm allowing myself half an hour to plan/braindump into Omnifocus as a head-clearing exercise, and then I'll work however long it takes before I feel "done."
Hopefully I'll have something new to post this evening! <3
Hmm. Still staring at the Omnifocus app after 3-4 days of working with it in trial mode. I think it's growing on me, and I definitely like the layout. I'm gonna give it another week.
If I'm still using it, I'll purchase a pro license for myself and a standard license for the iPad/iPhone. It'll be pricey, but at least it's not a recurring payment deal.
Question About Mac Productivity Software
Does anyone have a preferred software that they like to help them organize both a calendar and task list, or for managing non-technical projects?
I basically need to be able to take events out of my calendars (like, say, Magic Prerelease events), and make a task list associated with said events and have them be connected in some way.
Currently staring at OmniFocus, but not 100% if this is the right program for me. Any suggestions?
Frustrating (Retail Vent)
Also she brought back in literally everything that she left with ($5 Gift Certificates, Buy-A-Box Promotional Items, etc.). So that also kinda helps.
Frustrating (Retail Vent)
I just got a visit from one of our first customers Friday morning. She spent $200 on magic product and is now coming in to return it.
At least it's not her. She's a "tasker" (a personal shopper for a company called TaskRabbit) and the person asking her to buy the cards was a scam artist. Still...would much preferred to have not lost $200 on a slow monday). :/
This is the second solar system mandala I drew; a commission for the owner of the Art Licensing company that represents me, for his wife for their anniversary. The planets are positioned as they were on the date of their anniversary. Diameter around 37cm.

If you want one of these, it'll set you back $200 including postage. Hopefully you can see why. :p

Little things that you can do for self care
- Get a little bottle of hand moisturizer or hand lotion and use it once a day
- Find 15-30 minutes in your day and just _walk_. Put your phone away and admire the way the world around you looks.
- It's okay to go buy yourself chocolate. Get one of the fancy bars and savor every bite. <3
Goals
Oh right, also:
- Don’t eat all of @emanate’s jelly beans.
That’s a very admirable goal.
Fall things that I like to do:
- Drive down to Portland
- Walk in parks and watch the leaves
- Listen to folk-y music (seriously my playlist has been full of Mumford and Sons style music lately)
- Hug cuties. <3
- Wrap myself in nice warm clothing and revel in the cold outside
- Fires in fireplaces! <3 <3
