drug/EDM reference
also a couple of days back, I couldn't recall Terrence McKenna's name, and surprisingly the search string "nasal drug sample" flushed out a batch of papers which involved sample sets of people taking medication nasally, instead.
This was part of telling @ElectricKeet about me n' Sammi (she's not on Mastodon yet), riffing off Terrence McKenna visiting Starbucks. "I would like a grande hazelnut latte. With light foam sculpted in geometric facets of infinite progressions." (And then of course, "progressions" would echo, and the beats would kick in.)
re: drug/EDM reference
@emanate @ElectricKeet the poor guy could only say 1-2 sentences at a time before his voice distorted and the beats kicked in. Must've been hell on his marriage. *nods*

He was probably pretty infuriatingly chill about it too, from the wife's perspective.
"You aren't even sad this is over?"
"Well, you know, uh, William Blake said...nothing last, but nothing is lost...."

This is a fun thought. :-D
And of course having listened to probably a lot of the same music, I can hear this exactly in McKenna's voice in my head. :-P
