I didn’t become a coder or a sysadmin or anything worthwhile, I didn’t enlist, I didn’t marry and have children, and I’m not Queer or minority enough. I don’t even draw well. Seriously nobody would lose anything if I had enough spine to punch out early.

@Mycroft Thank you. I need the reminder that doing something counts, that this is doing a little to make the world a place where people can do this.
re: mh-
@Leucrotta *hugs tight* You are worthwhile, and you are beautiful, even if you can't see it right now. And I'll tell you what I told me nephew years ago. Artists matter more than engineers. Always have, always will. You're the ones who inspire everyone else. (And you do draw well, despite what your brain tells you. If you ever open up for commissions, I want one. <3)
re: mh-
@zetasyanthis Thank you. Just a batch of stuff came together at really bad angles. I dunno; I don't want to matter more than anyone else, and just how hierachical society is gets to me sometimes, you know? How public school trains you to believe that who's valued is always rooted in merit and intelligence, and then school also trains you that it's always someone else and never you who's valued, and therefore you must be completely horrible.

@Leucrotta :(
wherever this is coming from is wrong
the feelings are valid but these conclusions are not
im sorry friend
mh-
@Leucrotta dude your fencing drawings have historically accurate costuming. 💜
re: mh-
@Leucrotta 💛 These feelings are uncomfortably familiar.
Sometimes just being there for others is worthwhile.
You're certainly queer/minority enough to deserve any friends and attention you have received - everyone deserves basic things, and you shouldn't have to reach some unreachable goal of personal identity to get them.
You draw amazingly well. I'm always impressed by the way you draw human form and dramatic scenes.
re: mh-
@Leucrotta You do draw well! And I'd lose a friend.
mh-
@Leucrotta You draw amazingly. Even if you don't think so, you're still actively producing creative work. That's a lot harder than just passively consuming things.
