Between the long ass rough week, busting ass to post receivables before an interview, interviewing, my country becoming even more a bigoted wet dream at public expense, and this month end stuff not being very interesting, I have NO FOCUS right now.

Something I really like about furry fandom is that we started as people drawing (horny) cartoons, and as the fandom grew suddenly became also people painting (sometimes horny) wildlife art, and (only rarely horny) fine art. Now and then tho I run into conservatives online and it’s not hey, other scared people buying into their own biases, as I’d like to think; it’s like transphobes or being back in Georgia, where these folks just have a really mean, angry, exclusionary take on the world.

When I worked for a small business which sold mostly diesel and various lubricants, I got exposed to a maybe actual centrist? POV; without an alternative to move TO, trying to push people away from old (in this case literally) toxic system just wound up being cruel. I saw a much further right POV which had some legit points.

I’m a bleeding heart so I WANT to believe folks on the other side can have valid points, that they’re other scared people who don’t trust power, etc..

People have noted that the song “The Monster Mash” never tells you what the Mash itself sounds like. The lyrics suggest it’s a faster and reorchestrated regional tune old enough that Dracula would be familiar with it, so I’d suggest it sounds like part of Bartok’s “Six Romanian Dances.”
