@ziphi thanks! Originally it was going to have a werewolf as well and… naw that’s a bit too much!
#drawing today, a paladin or similar goody two sabatons busts in on a procession of cultists and their reliquary. Has undead, organized religion references, and vague eye contact

@robinhood Das Wundermauer
One weird thing about when and where I went to college was, the Oldies station got the best reception (and hit that interesting-but-familiar spot retail businesses would want to play). Being in Michigan solved towards Motown. So music I think of as being from “when I was young” is this mix of 60s and 90s. To be fair both eras are about equally “stuff I like for associations more than actually musically solid.”
Listening to the Interview with the Vampire soundtrack again makes me think about what it’d be like to run VtM again, could I actually make the sort of game I really want, which is way more “exploring history” with some action and a fair amount of tragedy, all of which I think are way more compelling vampire things than politicking?
I mean academic since I barely have the focus to play games let alone run, but yeah.
longish response
@mynameistillian my experience has been; people really like narrative to be clear-cut and wrap up easily.
Having a clear-cut and easily wrapped up narrative fits how public education relies on tests and grades as metrics, *and* how primary/secondary education are by definition going to be superficial survey classes. This is basically trying to jam the sloppiness of history and biology in particular into how you can make math and whatever language into a much cleaner technical exercise.
And unfortunately the whole set up already lends itself to authoritarian mindsets (among other things, because the authoritarians have soaked up a simplified, good-versus-evil narrative and want to believe in such). They're bound to push for more control over textbooks and what's available to read.
@frost @certifiedperson Congrats!
#drawings today, finishing up the space goblins (“just what do you think you are doing, Dave?”) and some not-Imperial Guard inspired by listening to the Aliens soundtrack while job hunting and someone’s build different Guard units video afterward. CW firearms!
@Axiom "Weepy Coleslaw" is my new, old Blues musician stage persona!
@amagire I don’t think I was around for this…
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
