That was a GREAT movie when I didn't hate it and want to quit out.

holy fuck I hate this movie's attempts to be funny THIS MUCH. Also, it makes no sense that there are no fire-lances or other Ming forms of firearms.

Holy SHIT. They put THIS gorgeous sequence right in the middle of the same film as all the fucking fat jokes. (Seriously. If I were a fat dude I would really, truly resent this.) Also I really resent the plot point that gong fu and firearms are mutually exclusive.

okay so this is rapidly becoming "I completely adore this movie when they're NOT trying to be a funny kids' movie." I think the "look isn't this funny?" aspect would have really bugged me as a 10 year old too, and I don't THINK I'm that humorless...

I swear this movie is basically an extended Boot to the Head sketch. I mean I liked the Boot to the Head sketch, but some of the humor's really tanking. On the other hand a gnoll (I mean wolf) army racing across rooftops, and the heroes running UP a topping 30 story tall tower as it crashes, was pretty awesome.

This movie isn't as good as it was in 2011, mostly because the humor's kinda slapstick and pitched for a younger audience, like I was in my 30s at the time. But the animation holds up really well.

Rewatching Kung Fu Panda 2 'cause it's free, has really GOOD animation and I'm totally braindead.

I just need to do a good job on this video interview, and then I can make a couple of needed phone calls and cook breakfast, and THEN I can watch some drawing videos and maybe work on inks or watch a movie maybe; I feel very broken today.

believe me, I would prefer my daily tasks not to include something that also requires me to step myself back from suicidal thoughts. One of these days, I'm going to fail at that part, too.
