Also despite all the anti Blackness, homophobia and antisemitism of my childhood, despite all the places where I felt leery of other groups or became bitterly resentful of the hegemonic religion shoved down my throat, despite grinding resentment of age and wealth, THE worst prejudices I have are against uh… pickup truck drivers.

The two things I never expected about the Seattle area is 1) most coffee shops close early and 2) we honestly can’t drive in rain.

didn't remember if this splatbook had art by Mitch Byrd (he's a huge inspiration), but I'm gratified that to see it has art by Ron "Spray of Entrails" Spencer.

@TheDailyBurble in my experience, all it takes is a small amount of negative experiences particularly if intense to suddenly do sweeping generalizations as some sort of fucky attempt at self defense. Easy misunderstanding given how little harm out there in the world is intentional. Logically even a narrowly defined group (eg BMW drivers) can’t possibly be 100% vicious assholes, and that definitely can’t possibly be true the more vaguely you define a group (eg anyone religious).

My Dad helped me out with the gap in being paid, and then I had a coyote idea.

I didn't just go food shopping; I found a lot of pork on sale, and bought vegetables. I pre-chopped onion and pepper for and put some of the pork up to marinate for stir fry later, cut up and bagged the remaining pork. I also cut up sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts and roasted those for later. Last I finally got around to making myself very late breakfast. So now I have like NO motivation.
