I always thought “head honcho” came from a Spanish loanword, and it’s not; Japanese actually “han cho,” squad leader, apparently overheard during WWII to refer to lieutenants.

I really wish my gender and sexuality issues weren’t so completely tied up in all the other abuse issues. I feel like it’ll take 20 years of therapy even vaguely sort this thing out to the point where I decide on HRT and I don’t have that much time.

Today's thought; all abuse tells you the same thing - "you're unimportant and bad, and I can do as I please to you" - but psych abuse only is so subtle you're not even sure it's there, whereas physical abuse works almost opposite. It's so immediate you don't have space to consider there's nastier messages coded in it.

reported the Hillsdale College ads about "needing to say no we're not going to do this [to 'these woke revolutions']" as hate speech. Which won't go anywhere, but fuck rich white supremacists getting in the way of me listening to Donovan.

I just asked a teenager to unfollow my Bluesky because sometimes I post NSFW/adult content, and I now feel like a major heel for doing so (even though I would have felt bad for NOT doing so)

Today was slow then I had more time in the evening than originally thought so I drew all 12 D&D character classes, I wanted to do less obvious ancestries for the PCs. #drawings
