#drawing last night

World of Softskinned Vehicles, in which you can drive military vehicles from the Kleine Kettenkrad to a VW Iltis or a Jackal 2 high mobility vehicle. Because why would I want to simulate conflict when I could just drive weird shit around?

@Tuftears yeah, initially I made her lower legs too short, which is kinda embarassing for the main figure in a big piece.

Anyway reposting Sunday’s #drawing after I noticed/deleted/revamped a proportion problem.

Now thinking about how having that as an ongoing background, doesn’t just drain energy as it would for a normal person. since I’m being intentionally abused in one part of my life, it makes me more susceptible to feel abused in other areas. I normally have this bias, but it isn’t as intense since the usual run of elitism and casual harm doesn’t have that malicious intent

@Bel_tamtu I think we're all stuck with the "that was close" thing until the end of time. While I don't think like, half of humanity is pretty inherently evil, a lot more humans are than I initially thought or felt comfortable with, and they're always mobilized better. I think a fairly narrow victory is about as good as any of us will ever get, so I'm glad we get that.

I mean I also finally realized what I know about Kwakwala/Haida/Tsimshian cultures before European hegemony sounds a lot like Migration era Germans. You've read Beowulf, flip a few words and you've GOT a northwest coast folk story.

okay so;

targeting trans and "illegal immigrants" = equivalent to going after a specific child or family member as example, complete with the "it can happen to you"

escalation of FBI/DOJ overreach/potential military involvement = "and I can hurt you"

use of media/frequency of executive actions = "at any time"

tariffs, harassment of foreign visitors = isolating tactics. "because you're dependent on me"

I know EXACTLY what this is. This is domestic abuse writ large, this is why I'm half triggered all the damn time

Park yesterday with a lot of cool tree stumps. Because there’s more to this world than shitty rich fucks getting everything they want forever.

Weird little anxiety attack. Took a melatonin, sitting up to try and breathe.

But the good news is, I'm not in "my art sucks" so much as "while I'm drawing I'm making stuff I'm seriously into, it's just other people are doing DIFFERENT things I turn out to be into - and give that they've been doing it for quite some time they have a technical polish which is daunting."

I did wind up getting doughnuts today after all. The guy at the counter wanted to close up shop early and sold me nearly everything he had left for half price.

The GRIDDLECAKE. A digital frontier. I tried to picture packets of information as they moved through the diner. What did they look like - waffles? omelettes? Were the circuits like strips of bacon, or like sausages? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see, but I was probably just hungry.
