@obscurestar When I calm down some, I think what pushes me towards being more compassionate is the sure knowledge that it's not actually Christianity - humans do damn ugly things, and Christianity just happens to be the religion the assholes are usually using in this country. It's not like Islam or Judaism don't serve as excuses, and I'm certainly not going to go Kahanist or buy into Islamophobia.

so I *might* have a temp job, *definitely* have stuff in the fridge that needed using, and *might* have an overnight guest such that I want to make sure there's lots of TP, so I did a Safeway run, bought some reduced price fish which is a "use immediately," and since sweet and sour fish is robust and better after refrigeration, I made that and stir fried pea shoots with ginger etc. I'm happy the stir fry is restaurant quality, but wow, that was a lot of cooking, I'm done for a while
