Why take a trip with your friends but split rooms? Why stay at a hotel full of kids if you’re trying to take a break from yours? Why stay at the same hotel as members of the lesser classes? Get an AirBNB, you’re not staying in YOUR community, why should YOU care that you’re helping rich parasites completely fuck over the city and locals?

@Kusimanse if you go back through my FA scraps to 2008-2009 ish there should be photos from July 2008. Friends invited me on several road-trips to Vancouver WA between 2008-2012, and all of them were important and emotionally useful but July ‘08, the first one, REALLY saved my life.

Listening to the Ep VI soundtrack, I now question how Lando was able to lay low in Jabba’s palace for literally months without being thrown out for clearing his fellow guards out at games of chance. Because you KNOW that dude gambled like an entire bus load of tourists while there… Is there a possibility that Jabba kept him around because he was “lucky”?

@LexYeen then that gets me to; Space Marines probably fuck on the regular and ARE NOT PICKY. If the biggest endorphin/dopamine hit you can get is being plugged in to expend John Woo like amounts of spent brass, and you can’t do that all the time, you’ll go for what’s close, and overeating or drinking is probably out unless you’re a Space Wolf.

@LexYeen you realize that this makes the men (and women, because saying so is NOT gonna piss anyone off more than the rest of this statement) of the Adeptes Astartes relatively ace or possibly pan because literally getting plugged directly into power armor is better than sex for them, which probably explains why it's so easy to convince someone who'd otherwise be a corpse to be jacked into a dreadnaught for centuries on end.

reiterate that neither my family's take on religion (we have to do this because we've always done this) nor the culture I grew up in (we do this out of fear of punishment far more than from hope of reward) gives me much help faced with trying to figure out just how religious I want to be.
