@eredien https://www.tor.com/2022/01/10/writing-horses-sketching-the-mind-horse/ but I've seen it more used as a drawing trope (draw a horse without reference, and most versions will be pretty off, unless you're like Claire Wendling or Terryl Whitlatch or like that)
@cuddlemelon@mastodon.social I usually use olive or vegetable, because they're right next to the stove and sesame oil tends to burn quickly so it's way better used as a dressing/add in on stuff.
https://thewoksoflife.com/hainanese-chicken-rice/ gives exactly NO info on what oil is good, but it does have better ideas about proportion than "eh, just dump a lot of garlic and ginger in, I like garlic and ginger."
re: nonsense
@Ylfingr oh man NOW you've said it *starts drawing frantically*
@Ylfingr naw, I’m walking by Green Lake and still need to eat breakfast and nap too, I got a thing to go to in 6 hours. Thanks for the offer though?
re: Opinion about online atheism, includes slurs
@Ylfingr that’s the thing, atheism is I feel an inspiring and optimistic take, and giving people (on Bluesky actually) benefit of the doubt they’re NOT being toxic about it… but there’s been so much toxic discussion it’s hard NOT to feel I’m being subjected to it again.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
