yesterday's realization that this election pushes some fairly personal buttons;

* people considered to be good seem to get away with anything, as though it's been decided that because they've been the officially good people in the past, that can't change.

* the ADHD/C/PTSD screwed perception of time. I heard about Trump nonstop before 2016, in 2017-2020 even when I was less politically active because I was depressed and sick he was still there, after 2020 he was constantly there thanks to ever-new items of bullshit he'd pulled in office, now it's 2024 and even if he somehow loses I anticipate election denial, possible insurrection, and further new items to mean he's constantly there. To my broken brain all this feels like I've almost never lived and will never live without his constant threat.

so in The Wild Robot, Mark Hammill plays a bear. This gruff, deep voiced character older and crankier than anyone else in the movie. So essentially you've got a movie where Mark Hammill plays Harrison Ford.

imho the point of 40K is that pretty much every faction is right bastards AND anyone can be true heroes.

like; what's ACTUAL heroism if you're an 8' tall superhuman in ceramite casually blasting away with what's normally a squad support weapon? Anyway. This weekend was the Antiquarian Book Show, so I went early with my Dad. Not entirely selfless since I haven’t been since 2019 and I thought I’d find something fairly recent but affordable. A lot of valuable stuff was in cases; here’s some of what interested me.

@ThatGenieProblem @Chip_Unicorn PR gets SLAMMED by storms, and without statehood to give them official representation, aiding them winds up being a niceity rather than a necessity. It really bugs me.

@Chip_Unicorn I think it's opportunism. PR's still a territory, so they can't vote right? And by definition there won't be a big number of Riquenos registered in the states. So right wing whites will understand hating on them as code for hating Mexicans, and right wing Cuban- and Mexican-Americans can feel okay that they're not supporting someone openly dissing them.
