Along the line of “I really wish they’d be more... y’know NORSE instead of just having guys with horned helmets” again the first time I watched HTTYD I was REALLY baked and the scene where they return from unsuccessfully attacking Dragon Island? I thought maybe Hiccup’s father had fallen in battle and his bondi had brought his head back in a cask of brine to keep it from being dishonored.

Like if I made these movies I’d get Einar Selvik to do the soundtrack...

Although I would actually not be happy if Hiccup’s half sister returned and raised an undead army and a giant wolf before the entire island was consumed by Surtr, I’ve seen that before.

“Hiccup’s leadership and dreams of creating a dragon utopia are challenged” please does that mean he’s challenged to a holmgang? Or that a fell creature comes from the bog to feast upon his housecarls each night? Or that he has to travel to dread Nastrond to seek powerful counsel? I can think of lots of stuff that would be AWESOME and they’re also not very HTTYD.

After I get out of here today, assuming I make time to draw as well as do dishes and laundry, should I;
a) work on big pictures to work on composition
b) work up rougher movement sequences
c) work up this comic to a layout stage?

Record scratch noise.

I *was* gonna reuse the joke about Peter Jackson''s Dune, but in all seriousness I bet Guillermo del Toro would make an awesome Dune movie since it's basically about outsiders and places where humanity overlaps the monstrous.

And then in the second movie “Bludstryke,” Bigg Gunn would team up with Lady Bloodbath on a mission to retrieve nanites from Hell, featuring how medieval armor doesn’t actually work! Be sure to keep an eye open for the Jim Lee cameo in every movie.

The first movie in the ICU would be Bigg Gunn, about a hero whose mutant power is making any firearm larger and more fully automatic, like in the last scene he’d start with a .44 magnum with only 3 rounds, and make it a belt fed Vulcan cannon

Y’know, now that CG is this good they could TOTALLY make the Image Cinematic Universe. The same tech used to make an entire giant eyes Battle Angel Alita movie used to give all the women permanent S curved spines regardless of movement and all the guys would have tiny angry heads, and they’d composite the gun barrels right above clutched fists.

And everyone’s name would be some riff off Blood, Death, Storm, Sword and stuff, like metal bands only with Y and U instead of umlauts.
