so accustomed to the sample in Infected Mushroom's "Disco Mushroom" that I'm faintly surprised when "The Wedding" from "Excalibur" doesn't include the beat drop

A friend has been feeling really good about trying out this wolf hood, which lets them still feel lupine without the restrictions of a fursuit BUT I fess up to being nerdy enough that I want to see the hood over an Imperial Gallic helmet and lorica squamata.

Really want to tell a senior citizen to shut the fuck up because he doesn’t know as much as he thinks he does, which is to say he’s an expert on absolutely everything, and I’m really tired of hearing it. This would accomplish nothing except getting me fired though. One more adult who’s officially better than me and who I can’t say anything about. You’re nothing new to me, sir.

Also unfollowed someone who made me feel lesser. I mean they posted some great stuff and they probably didn’t do this intentionally but I came away with the impression that I’m never going to be something they like and I don’t need that as a thing to feel bad about.

A couple more personal observations;
* part of why con drop is going from work (and possibly travel) to desired high activity to work. It’s like how drawing, much as it helps me recharge, is still work and still eats energy.

* being stomped on incidentally can look a lot like willful, malicious intent, especially because being stomped on for someone else’s convenience is sorta abusive *anyway*. And my childhood had relatively few actual bullies but lots of self absorbed folks and coerced dogma.

AU in which the Brendan Fraser "Mummy" movies and "Van Helsing" really took off in the early 00s, leading to a spate of "must see" Universal monster movies which had definite fans but which many other people were completely sick of by 2015 or so.
