Images, fantasy creatures, eye contact
Last night’s #drawings, a green dragon on a fallen tree and a page with a metallic dragon of some sort, dragon heads and a half orc vampire (I figure his walking stick is a warhammer and vice versa, like for nobles in the Kingdom of Poland).
coyote sing along hour, sui mention
there was a young girl whose smile was a frown
cause she was crippled for life, and she couldn't speak a sound
and she wished and prayed that she could stop livin', so she decided to die.
drew her wheelchair to the edge of the shore
and to her legs she smiled, you won't hurt me no more!
but then a sight she'd never seen made her jump and say
look, a golden winged ship is passing my way!
And it didn't really have to stop.
It just kept on going.
And some castles made of sand
slip into the sea, eventually.
I have no real idea of what I just cooked other than I added a generous amount of what I thought was garlic to using the last of the bell peppers, then noticed it was ginger and changed direction from "augmented hash browns" to "vaguely Chinese vegetable glop which uses up the last of the oyster sauce"
Ah yes we’re doing my favorite thing, “Ask Jon don’t they remember/take notes/telling them where to go while they’re trying to accomplish that self same task.” Trying not to assume the usual follow up, “angry authority assumes Jon is either stupid or intentionally sabotaging us.” Ranks up with other favorites like “talk to Jon while they are obviously on the phone being talked to by the person at the other end/demand to know why they are on the phone.”

Also trans women are stereotyped as what, musicians, coders? Music is a traditional niche for marginalized folks because most money goes elsewhere. Counterpoint, trans comedians. I notice police got upgraded to well off societal heroes, no longer a crummy job to shove on (now conditionally white ie disappeared) groups, so no trans cops; I notice programmer only recently became a desired niche due to money (bet being hired in tech as trans is harder now than in the 90s).

I think transness hits big existential buttons for conservatives (as Britain’s communists proved in a recent statement, not limited to the official right wingers);
someone can change something seemingly fundamental, and conservatism is at base fear of change. The idea that people can change yet it won’t wreck everything has scary implications about socialism, ecology, religion, racism. And if transphobia is wrong, it was never okay to crap on OTHER minorities. Scary!
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
