Capitalism wants lighting to strike in the same place twice. They’re always looking for another YouTube, another Oracle, another Star Wars, etc; they want a predictable moneymaker to yield the same ROI as the original, which raked in that much *because* it wasn’t expected. Maybe this is just my reaction to stuff on Hellbird, but it feels like with both NFTs then AI the capitalists are trying to make lightning to strike in the same place twice by simply *insisting* that it is.
I had to correct two mistakes where I’d transposed numbers to get a different account. Then I had to correct for two mistakes which turned out to be stuff my coworker had mistyped; once I found that it wasn’t *my* mistake, the feeling of Getting Everything Wrong eased up and the world wasn’t even half as terrible. Now that I’m past that I feel really drained.
I don't in fact want to work temp job, check email on break to see when my next interview might be, then go to the Apple store, then possibly call my parents. I *want* to draw, nap, and have lurid little pointless fantasies, but realistically, that was probably going to be a lot less drawing/napping/lurid fantasizing than I hope, so eh.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
