I'm up with acid reflux again.

Something that's taken me this long to notice; if I feel bad, it literally takes time to step that back, when part of the process is spotting default assumptions, triggers from childhood, low blood sugar. The world isn't ending, I'm not actually trapped in misery forever, just whatever reason is kicking in. In the time it takes to step that back I am very literally vulnerable to anything that triggers me further and for the first 18 years of my life there just was never enough literal time to interject doubt into this terrible narrative and to step it back.

have you considered how everything is adult entertainment when you're this old?

Says something that THE big connection I felt to Luke as a kid was that the adults were lying to him to get him to do what they wanted (stay here and do chores, don’t become a Jedi, please whack Vader and Palpatine for us).

… and here it’s useful to remember that I have CPTSD, and feeling “I’m out of place, not supposed to be alive here and now” and “I’m trapped and can never get out” while horrible, are places my brain WILL go and a lot less grounded than they feel.

Having one of those days when I feel sad, anxious, and wanting an actual vacation, more in general than due to anything specific.

a twin-seater fighter built with such obvious flaws that it's introduced with why the RAF thought this was even vaguely a good idea and, had anything other than "separate gunner and pilot roles" been related to reality, it would have revolutionized aerial combat.
