THE simplest Chinese cooking is literally awesomesauce; heat some oil. Add in chopped up ginger and garlic, let it cool down, add salt.

I first had this with Hainan style chicken but the soy sauce chicken from Asian Family Food Center came with a little thing of the stuff! FSCK yeah!

The phrases “mind horse” and “mind palace” suggest “mucking out my MIND STABLES” as a euphemism for skipping out on responsible adulthood to eat cake and read or something.

Problem is, whenever I hear anyone go off about religion being this terrible unnecessary burden, I don’t hear f’rex “what we know for sure is we’re here now and it’d be terrible to make things worse,” I hear “you silly kikes and ragheads clearly lack the wisdom of us Western Europeans and should abandon your backwards traditions.”

the good news is that I don't have to somehow get my parents to respect my boundaries so I can get back to Seattle by 8 tomorrow, but the BAD news is instead they want to see me Sunday, which'll be an all day deal. I'm gonna try to see this as "I can use space between this week's job hunt and them."

It's been a while since I went into coyote cooking frenzy - maybe the sink being down REALLY soured my mood to cook - but tonight I made mashed parsnips, stewed romano beans, prepped and fried livers to make chopped liver salad later. Made vaguely Italian mushroom-bacon-tomato stuff for dinner figuring I should cook while I have spoons to do so.
