I'm awake, and even though I probably want to sleep more, I slept great once I did. Hopefully this hasn't/won't accumulate enough to make commuting impossible.

My first action as President will be to create an Office of Youth Government Elligibility, Variation And Local Transactions, or OYGEVALT. This will accomplish exactly nothing other than sounding big and convincing existing agencies that they’re being watched.

I feel that a big danger of the Trump Administration isn't just the bigots-in-chief, but they'll have little nauseating local sycophants eagerly imitating their bigotry - and state politics is a lot easier to screw with than national politics.

1) they are doing this as an intentional, abusive tactic

2) its success hinges on me forgetting I have any future beyond their abuse

3) a different future can exist predicated on how I survived previous abuse, and they don't completely control my present either

4) my understanding that I'm in no way to blame for, or deserving of, their abuse has improved over the last few years

vaguely gender; I always feel better when I shave, but shaving is a PITA and eats time, and *having* to shave has this association of "to make someone else happy."

because it surfaced in a meme on Bluesky, just really appreciating how The Dark Crystal handles its two young heroes.

KIRA's the special magical kid who flies and talks to animals, but Jen's an only child, a gifted child. HE'S relatable. He's The Chosen One not b/c he's a superhero but b/c he's the only Gelfling around, the adults have decided FOR him that he's The Chosen One. Right up to the end, what JEN wants to do is hang out in the woods or with the Podlings, reading and playing the flute.

okay so my great plan to render 4 different things I had "flatted out" conked out after 4+ hours including swapping location and doing a little laundry. I'm hungry.

But figuring out more how to do this is more important than pushing to get a finished product ESPECIALLY at the cost of half-assing it.

Goodness knows why I sink so much effort into art given I don't think I have any chance of going FT professional anymore, but it's 2025, any joy you can get from not-corporate-Amerikkka is good.

so if Spider-Man is strong (listen bud) because he’s got radioactive blood, and canonically gets skin broken in fights all the time, is that a biohazard, or given say how New Yorkers get exposed to asbestos and lead from walls Rhino, Hobgoblin etc demolish in the same fights, and Galactus just tried to eat the planet, it’s pretty negligible?
