Oh yeah, sounds like the part of the Cirque de Soleil performance when suddenly the entire cast is on stage, there are people rolling around in big metal frames ON FIRE, and also people are bicycling on the ceiling for no coherent reason!

The Loma Prieta quake took out most of a parking lot and left, like, the world’s smallest, most dangerous skate park! Later, on the wharf, there was an old fishing boat you couldn’t climb on, and this ridiculously awesome water fountain (that’s my friend for scale).

Only one photo caught a sea otter! But later I got to be close to this little friend and later, at the wharf, there were a *lot* of friends trying to nap. And then a few sea lions climbed all over each other and some other sea lions started yelling and it probably wasn’t very restful.

Oh, ocean is just so good. It’s amazing, it’s so good. I’m so lucky to live where I can get to the seashore. 💙💙💙

Look I’m just saying it’d be difficult to figure out shadow cast for the midnight showing of Dune.

Though I guess having a portmanteau Brad/Rocky character is common since that’s Paul in Dune. Assuming Vladimir Harkonen is Frankie makes Sting the Columbia character (or maybe Columbia/Rocky) since Shaddam IV is Riff-Raff and The Beast Rabban is Eddy.

Bladerunner maps even less well to RHPS, ‘cause Roy is obviously Rocky, Tyrell is Frank, Deckard is Brad, but then is Leon Riff-Raff? Is Rachel Janet or Columbia or both? And since the narrator would be the criminologist, they aren’t even in most cuts of the movie.

Then I realized I was being too literal about appearance and relationships; Aura maps to Columbia, but *Prince Barin* is actually Riff-Raff, because they’re both plotting against Ming/Frankie.

That means Brian Blessed is Meatloaf, as is logical here. I mean trying to figure out how Flash Gordon relates to RHPS isn’t gonna be a direct correlation anyway.

Uh, what does it say about me that my choice of listening in the car is the Flash Gordon soundtrack, and The Cure?

I think I'm finally starting to understand what Claire Wendling, Terryl Whitlatch and Mike Mattesi were trying to say. Okay, so that's cryptic but I can explain, it'd help if I could draw it out.

the biggest problem with that place is that they really don't have banchan - they give you some takuan and that's IT. But their dumplings are awesome.

I haven't tried the other Korean in the same little shopping center which is basically you can order anything as long as it's sausage.

Did a ton of dishes, did a ton of laundry. Housemate decided they weren’t in the mood for the outside world at all after laundry, and there was no parking near this deli I’m curious about, so now I’m at one of the few Korean places I actually know locally. Parking in this part of Oakland sucks! The dumplings at this place don’t though.
