dad, medical, $ needed (boosts ok)
My senile dad lost self awareness yesterday. He's gonna need a nurse 24/7 for at least a week until he regains consciousness. (And if he doesn't, we need to get him to the hospital. He's not insured)
My mom is over 70yo, diabetic, overweight and has a spine problem - she can't change his diapers. I need to work full time to be able to afford our already high expenses.
And nurses aren't free.
We need as much help as we can.
Please help by donating to https://www.paypal.me/YukiMX . (Please make sure shipping address is set to "not applicable")
Anything, even 1 dollar will help. 🙏
Boosts
appreciated.

even in his youth, even in his youth, even in his youth
he was nothing
kept his body clean, kept his body clean, kept his body clean
going nowhere
Daddy was ashamed, Daddy was ashamed, was ashamed he was something
disgrace the family name, disgrace the family name, disgrace the family name
he was something
leave the check before you’re through
I’ve got nothing left to prove
if I die before I wake
hope I don’t come back again
in today's #drawing a noble (?) dwarf swims into kraken-infested waters beneath the docks. Apparently most "swimming" poses remind me of the cover to "Nevermind," hence the choice of music/lyrics.
Two politicalish things I'm cranky about, I'm being one of THOSE leftists;
1) I feel like the difference in how Occupy Wall Street, earlier stages of Black Lives Matter, and now are treated are very much how Americans prefer seeing racism as a social issue with clearly defined good and bad guys and no larger social aspects. Occupy Wall Street not only included scary homeless stuff but was economic focused and therefore quickly downplayed. BLM didn't get much traction in the right-leaning media until last summer, but it was always a hard sell, and the moment it led to (unified) voices saying more vocally "hey, this country's rooted in some profoundly vile stuff" conveniently we were on to new stuff before we could start asking about things like rent control, public transit and other things which drive deeper than signs on lawns.
2) The NFT thing is incredibly disheartening; it's so obviously harmful but it's getting hyped and supported so much. It makes money for someone, and that seems to be the reason it's legitimized. Really drives home that while a free market economy might not be about this, *our* version of capitalism is great with any harm as long as the "right" people are making bank off it (rather than, say, thinking about the immense financial benefits of actually giving a flying clusterfuck about anthropogenic climate change).
you don’t miss the 90s, you miss being younger and having a more bearable cost of living and an Internet which wasn’t largely advertising and a political and ecological situation which wasn’t so obviously sliding downhill and space which wasn’t the domain of multibillionaires and media and Photoshop which you actually owned and
you miss the 90s

a year ago this time, I thought, hey, someone's an artist like me, even if they're far more skilled, here's someone I'd probably like in person. Then this horrifying ecologically unsound legitimized scam started and I lost all respect for some people I thought I liked. Within the past week I've also discovered a complete lack of respect for the paleontologist who changed my whole worldview as a kid and a director whose stuff I really liked.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
