And I realize that I’m the bad guy, I’ve gotten everything in life, I have nothing to complain about.

When I was a kid my parents made me go to operas and concerts figuring this would make me a good intellectual from their generation.

I imagined other concert-goers staying up till all hours talking afterwards, instead of going to bed so they could be in the shittiest public schools the next day.

Anyway, one of the awesomer bits of adulthood is listening to opera in just my boxers. Verdi wrote some completely gorgeous stuff and it's ridiculously awesome when you can walk away at any time.

Incidentally doing this out loud proves i can only *kinda* do Mark Hammill’s Joker. Which I guess matches up to how whenever I try to do Arlene Sorkin’s Harley, I wind up doing my grandmother’s accent instead.

Problem with trying to stay with a friend while they’re in the middle of what’s drifting towards a break up, is that’s a months long process rather than okay, 1100 I’m good to go.

Okay. An actual horse is 5 horsepower and has about five sticky outty bits (when you count the TAIL! Sheesh). Therefore a one horsepower thing is about a leg or flicking a tail energetically.

And if it’s a quarter horse, that’d be 1 hp= 1/5 x 1/4 = 1/20th of a horse. Somehow.

It’s just a shitty job. AFAIK anyone vaguely connected to shipping- the crews, agents - gets slammed and the longshoreman have a union to keep from being literally worked to death, so the assumption that I have infinite time to dump at this job is pretty basic.

And when I think of what I want for my birthday it’s all about time not stuff or food(time outside, drawing, with friends).

So I need to start looking far away from the shipping industry.

Thinking about how you can't assume any cultural knowledge as standard. I've within this year met two adults who had only just *now* watched a Star Wars movie, which is kinda striking given I know at least one person who knows more about the SWverse than I could ever know, and a batch more who are just REALLY INTO IT.

I apparently stepped away from my computer to lie down a while for somewhere over 8 hours, in the middle of quoting the Riddle of Steel from Conan, and in a video about how to play Thirsty Sword Lesbians (which is basically Dungeon World, so now I really want to run Dungeon World, again).
