Okay we have global warming, a potential pandemic when we haven’t resolved the last pandemic, SCOTUS is a political organ, we still have Trump’s Postmaster, we need Medicare for all/rent control/college debt relief/public transportation, Queer rights face rollback, the police still straight up kill Black people. What benefit comes from does Pelosi going to TW or Biden not endorsing it? Like everything else these sick out of touch rich liches do it’s COMPLETELY FUCKING IRRELEVANT!

so there's this march in Das Boot, "Muess I Denn." I was listening to the soundtrack the other day and got curious so; it turns out to be a Swabian folk tune which *was* a "capstan song" in tall ship days, and which the Imperial Navy made a traditional quick-march. I'm not quite sure how you get from "move a capstan" to "quick march," but it seems very stereotypically German to make something faster tempo and thumpier.
