Okay, sincere question since I am unlikely to do it today; what are some things that make you feel now would be a good day to take time off from work?

this is definitely one of those days where if I felt I could I'd skip out for sleep/my own emotional well being.

okay why am I anxious?

While snacking on the remaining blueberry scone - so not really something that should have pulled a crown loose - the crown they recemented Monday came off. So… lucky that wasn’t yesterday or during my original plan to be social today (abandoned after yesterday sucked). BUT. Even slightly younger me would have been emotionally annihilated by this weekend, as it is everything’s hit like a 12 lb sledgehammer to the noggin.

Unfortunately I grew up in this place of “people we value get safety and comfort and the rest of y’all get fucked,” and neither the broader society’s ever-increasing price barriers, reactionary elitism, or being in a fandom deeply divided by class lines, helps me chill out.

I’m still fucking seething about some stuff yesterday.

So what’s going in here? Let me guess; big blocky apartments or condos which, despite their lack of charm, proximity to anything and possibly decent sound insulation, are priced for people better than me.

I really hate how I see the world through class resentment goggles…

something really interesting Puscifer does is have the vocals really carry the melody forwards, with a batch of layered, varying instrumentals, but some of the instrumentals will hit same or slightly transposed notes as the vocal melody and serves as a drone.

also, frankly, the insomnia and horrible feelings about yesterday definitely make me feel that another half-edible is in order.

I was a *lot* more interested in doing something for the High Holidays when it was my idea rather than something I felt obligated to do to pacify my parents, my mother in particular. So yesterday I guess proved my feelings about the whole deal were right. I wish it hadn't.

Saying I deserve breakfast on your dime because I might voluntarily give a big tip the waitress is not a sane way to keep an economy afloat.

But with trickle down economics, it was never supposed to actually work, it's just an excuse to let rich people get whatever they want.
