because I'm at *that* point of the Conan the Barbarian soundtrack and haven't trotted out this joke in a while.

"Take him to the Tree of Woe."
"Whoa!"
"Crucify him."
"BOGUS!"

now the question becomes whether I want to get baked, listen to The Sword and eat a bagel with vegan cream cheese.

worked on rendering some I flatted out earlier/way earlier. And here's the second!

this part of the "Sleepy Hollow" soundtrack must be the love theme. Either that or it's the part where Pee-Wee Herman finds his bike.

normally I make fun of Danny Elfman for the very Nightmare sounding chunks of his soundtracks, but ironically "Carnival from Hell" winds up being VERY Oingo Boingo.

that said, I'm NOT going to listen to the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack before Halloween. There are some lines I just won't cross.

*puts on the Darkman soundtrack*

heee hee hee, CHRISTMASTIME

etc. etc etc. I can do this *literally all night, Danny*.

*puts on the "Descent to Mystery" part of Batman's soundtrack*

hee heee heee, CHRISTMASTIME!

donated to World Central Kitchen, they're trying to get food to people in Gaza which is something I can definitely support way more than the usual run of leftist kill-all-the-heebs rhetoric.

Rob Zombie is making me think of someone who used to mean everything in the world to me, and I'm sad. Look, I know it's weird.

Rain Dog boosted

wow, if you think that's tragic and upsetting, do I ever have the ethnic group for you!

The worst part of CPTSD is that it makes more of itself, but I think the most annoying part is how simultaneously I can't think of a future AND I'm completely certain the future will be disastrous.

Wait. There's a group named ELK WITCH? and they did a track named "Coyote and the Wind's Daughters"? *klik*

hot take; we have governments to tackle projects so large in scope and so potentially beneficial to all that a smaller than national government sized entity theoretically can't do them. THEREFORE, how did Amazon get so big they have a space program, when say, Honda or Disney don't? See also; SpaceX, and why that should get broken up.

Here's your not infrequent reminder that I'm not one of the good guys, and you should probably not follow me.

this is twice today I've wanted to say "I'm from Georgia, you think I don't recognize EXACTLY what you're telling me here?" and I would like to think I'm not quite that stereotypical a cranky old person.

seattle politics rant

"Monday," they thought. "Maybe I got a paycheck or an electric bill." Opening the mail yielded voter's guide, an ad about HOW HORRIBLE (and by sheer coincidence Black, funny how that works) CANDIDATE OPPOSES EXPANDING OUR POLICE FORCES BUT FAVORS LETTING DRUGGIES SHOOT UP IN THE STREEEEET RIGHT BY YOU and a positive ad for WHOLESOME CANDIDATE WHO WILL CREATE POSITIVE HOMELESSNESS SOLUTIONS. "Oh that's right, there's an election coming up," they thought, and flipped back to the district election page in the voter's guide, and immediately circled the previously unadvertized Horrible Candidate and crossed out the other person as a reference for when their ballot showed up.
