moving onto the thought "why do I keep trying? I'm no good" really suggests I should stop listening to this Waits album and go to bed. Will have a half-edible if I stay anxious.
Must be nice to have no connection to the situation, no nagging historical and international context for being uncertain that maybe the official villains act as they do beyond being innately evil, and to therefore gleefully choose sides, certain that you've surely chosen a right side.
