below all the abuse issues, despite getting past a huge chunk of those last week, I think my ADHD issues about feeling overwhelmed by tasks are still fairly easy to set off, and consequently not long after a great weekend off I'd wanted for weeks, I'm feeling overwhelmed/burned out again.

so uh I really had liked this book by Frances and Joseph Gies, Life in a Medieval City

and I inadvertently discovered their version of Jews in Louis IX’s kingdom was very whitewashed for whatever reason.

Don’t get interested in medievalism if you’re Jewish, no matter how much you like D&D. It’ll break your heart.

It still really weirds me out that the Luna Wolves aren’t the Space Wolves, that they don’t have a falcon motif like you’d expect from a primarch named Horus and the vaguely New Kingdom looking dudes are instead the Thousand Sons whose primarch is Magnus the Red. Who’s got the eye thing at least but you’d figure “Magnus” would be the Space Wolves primarch.

But what I REALLY hope for is to come up with a furry species so visually appealing, so memorable that it spawns hundreds of fursonas, tons of fan art and a few fursuits, something that makes me a name in the fandom,

AND also name it something profoundly silly. Like a BAMBLONI or something.

We hiked the entire Mosier Twin Tunnels Trail today. We’ve hiked the trail before, but we both always assumed it went 4-5 miles beyond the tunnels themselves. This time we took a break before turning around at this outcropping - and noticed there was only .5 mi more trail, so we finished it.

hot 40K take; Lion El Jonson is an incredibly boring Primarch. Let's see, other primarchs include a literal angel, a hammer-swinging giant in dragon hide, Bulvyf from The Thirteenth Warrior, the Kha Khan, the only dude actually trying to make the Imperium be the good guys, and weird monsters.
