RPG stories
One of the nights that I couldn’t make it, my fellow dweebs told me about later.
A very drunk (and apparently Australian given accent) student stumbled into the conversational French lunchroom where the game club met. He was apparently quite ready to try D&D and repeatedly insisted, “I want to play the gorgon.” My friends stepped him through chargen. Together, they made a fighter named The Gorgon. Then the new player passed out, beautific smile on his face, for the rest of the game.
RPG stories
One of my best gaming stories isn’t actually mine.
When I started college I was trying to be a good boy and I went to services every Friday. This meant I missed D&D games or came late during fall semester, before sunset came early enough that I could go to shul *and* play D&D. Ironically being late thanks to being religious meant I wound up playing clerics a lot, since players who showed up earlier tended to grab the “more exciting” roles.
There's a new Mastodon server for sex workers: switter.at (see @switter for updates).
Ah yeah Peturbator.
Exactly what I want playing when I clamber out of the moonroof of our team’s Mitsubishi Nightsky, katana in hand, to fight off the cyborg go-gangers trying to leap onto the vehicle going through Redmond.
Except that’s not what I’m doing this morning.
Have I mentioned this dystopian cyberpunk future kinda sucks?
Should post more #drawings and less how much I just wish it were all over.

I’m realizing that composition in panels is fairly organic; not only do I not have to detail much of the background but it’s impractical to do so. Larger panels solve for more detail as story cues; they suggest placing the action within the larger setting. #comics
UPDATE switching to the Tannahill Weavers means that I no longer wish to play D&D as much. I now however intend to declare for the Stuart when he comes back from across the water, and still want pub food and a stout.
mh -, religion
So it’s getting to be that time again. But it’s difficult for me to stay within dietary restrictions; and I don’t know anyone I’d do Seder with and don’t have energy to call people and cook; and then there’s all the messages, internalized and not, about Judaism is a regressive religion for shit people and how I shouldn’t want something so drab, oppressive and unenlightened.
And so I won’t do anything for *another* year.
Oh yeah it’s #TMITuesday again, ask me about stuff if you want!
Reading an old Simonson Thor. I seriously should get the compilation of these, they’re awesome;
1) Thor and his chosen shield-man met the Wanderer on their way to fight Fafnir
2) Heimdallr with a spectacled helmet just saw Memory return, but not Thought
Clearly it’s time to blast Amon Amarth into my skull now that there’s an actual order to work on.
maybe I really ought to reconsider being a horse of some sort, in furry fandom, again (for a very short time and in specific places I'd chosen to present as a Morgan, since they're shorter and more wiry). I don't think I'm *quite* vegetarian enough, but what little I know about the personality suggests Morgan's a fairly complimentary fit.
Lots of random gunk, but some drawings and cooking talk too. Obsesses about DnD and related topics. Left-leaning/profoundly frustrated politics. Black lives matter; trans rights are human rights.
