I'm really starting to get the feeling that human binary genders just straight up don't apply well to autistic folks.
sarcasm, mh (-)
@Motodrachen @kelseyhusky the "I never questioned it and I have to be this thing" brought me so many wonderful things
Like bipolar depression for example, or losing the will to live.
@Motodrachen we've seen people who say that autism is their gender
@Felthry TBH when I started with my gender therapist I opened with "Growing up I didn't really have a gender. My gender was geek." At the time I saw that as unprocessed dysphoria, and it led to a mostly-binary transition (which was legit great for me). It was also about five years before I figured out I was #ActuallyAutistic. I've since found the terms autigender and gendervague, and while they're not identities for me per se, I love them as a descriptors.

@Motodrachen feeling alien is already a pretty common sentiment anyways (wrong planet forums anyone?) What's the harm in another step, or ten?
@Motodrachen Do human binary genders really apply well to allistic folks? or are they just getting by on societal inertia?
