@kelseyhusky Get the new position First.
Having done this a couple times, have something new lined up First. Harder that way, but also WAY easier.
re: vore community gripes
@IceWolf Tragedy of the Commons, all the Willing prey was eaten Long ago.
Ironically, weed WAS "dangerous" when I was a kid, not because of the weed itself but because of the trouble you could get in for having it, that could ruin your life and future job prospects.
An entirely manufactured danger.
re: Car troubles.
@Draekos @devin@the.monsterpit.net If reliability and Low Cost are crucial, you'll want to look at cars that were previously owned by Grandmothers.
Depending on the demographics of the Nanas in Question, this can be anything from a Mercury Grand Marquis to a chrysler Town and Country.
Used small cars get beat on. Nana never exceeded the speed limit on her land yacht, and got it serviced at the dealership. Furthermore, anything with a V8 in a Car will be Younger than a comparable Truck or Van application, or a 4 banger.
For the small, easy to maintain, economical ride, a Toyota Corolla is hard to beat. Anything Honda tends to be good, but a lot of 'American' small cars of the last decade or so are Euro cars, really.
If you had the money, a mid 2010s Hyundai would do you well, they just have a Life Timer on them. They don't age well, the interior materials look great New but don't wear with any dignity.
re: Car troubles.
@Draekos @devin@the.monsterpit.net Mood. Gigantic mood.
I've put four grand into a five hundred dollar car.
Really just depends on how Into tilting at Windmills you are.
cannabis, pluralstuff, mh (extremely negative), swears
@nautilee no, that's normal too. The mechanism of action is Hyper-empathy.
Goes way past that too. Systems aren't locally constrained either. They can jump from meat brain to meat brain and still be themselves.
The quest for Self is a challenge under these circumstances. It does exist, and you folks Are Individuals.
The imposter syndrome means the inverse of what you think: only actual plurals feel it regularly.
cannabis, pluralstuff, long ish
@nautilee hit me up on Telegram sometime, figuring out plurals and finding truth is something the folks in here are good at.
Also, can have a median split within a plural system. Figure them out and you collapse a layer of abstraction, and get a person who is All of the components, not an aggregate mix
@Literalham because I get visions of possible futures and this was a good one
"Do you want you join yet?" the Galactic Federation's envoy asked.
"Have you dropped your stupid demands yet?" their human counterpart said.
"Universal right to food, shelter, education, and healthcare? No."
"Then no, we don't want to join."
"Are you sure you've asked everyone?"

@devin@the.monsterpit.net @Draekos Do bear in mind, the two tend to enter into suicide pacts, and a dying alternator will Kill a Battery and vice versa
re: Car troubles.
@Draekos It's your alternator.
Good news, it's a hundred bucks or so to fix with basic tools, in a Parking Lot, at night, under a Flashlight, as long as it's not a Lincoln Continental.
If you have a multimeter, start the car and check voltage across the terminals on the battery while it's running, should get 14.4 volts
d&d writers in the 70s: "we need a weak lil gremlin enemy for low level players to fight, goblins are a little strong... how about we name them after this obscure german folklore creature named a 'kobold', that'll work"
a billion queer nerds 40 years later: "that's me!!! im the low level enemy!!!!!!"
@kistaro seconded, the heated seats in my car are a carnal delight
food, bad joke
@maxine but If you must, have it with Munster.
Southern Mass's local machine healer and part time witchdoctor.
Tiny motorcycles, magic potions, machine tools, progressive rock, trance states, and hand sharpened drill bits. Oh, and I read Tarot. Probably 18+ just to be sure.
