Clearly there's a new wave of people moving to Mastodon. Lots of pundits wrote it off as irrelevant when the first wave of people switched and found it lacking.

But unlike centralized, for-profit startups, Masto doesn't require constant growth and capital to stay alive. It doesn't require one big wave, because it can survive and grow through multiple small ones.

Longshot: does anyone have a working configuration for edgeos 1.9.7 that has dchpv6-pd, dhcp-stateless and dnsmasq? I don’t care what does ra, radvd or dnsmasq. I would like dnsmasq working with ra-names, adding slaac configured v6 hosts to local dns. Nothing else of importance other than I intended to pull a /56 and run /64 on lan and want a /128 on wan. I have all the v6 shit working, but only 3-4 hosts seem to be getting addresses entered in dns??

as you may have guessed from my bio, i live on the land of the tongva people. the tongva probably moved into coastal southern california 3,500 years ago. the spanish established mission san gabriel arcángel (dubbing the tongva the "gabrieleños") in 1771, marking the beginning of the destruction of the tongva people and culture through disease, forced migration, destruction of food sources, christianization, and forced assimilation.

following the mexican cession, the tongva signed multiple treaties with the federal government promising millions of acres of reservation land, but due to lobbying from california business interests, these "lost treaties" were never ratified. as late as 2008, california promised to establish a state reservation for the tongva, but they remain landless and unrecognized by the federal government.
