a couple of years ago i reverse engineered the alternate MIDI format ("MMD") used by Touhou 2 and a variety of other PC-98 games and converted its soundtrack to standard MIDI files

i also wrote a converter for the (non-midi) "MDT" files used in Touhou 1 but never really finished or released it (slightly broken example: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9jb3jvicv010cvj/ST5.mid)
