Trance; life; clubbing
@emanate I’ve been thinking about this too, because i think Trance was the first time i “felt” emotion in music to the extent that i do.
It was the first time i felt magically and happily -guided- by music. Back in the day catching onto 4 Strings, ATB… i felt like it was a piece of a better place, or a better headspace, carved into the world through music.
Trance was and is always so shamelessly joyous, communal, tribal, and devoted to such -positivity-

@Oneironott Yeah. A lot of the electronic music genres have kinda rambled of in other directions; or worse, bought into the 'club life' myth and started making music /about/ that. (Okay, trance music isn't immune to that. I'm looking at you, Oakenfold.)
Most of the producers I still respect, though, are still making sappy songs about love and life and heartache and bliss. 💜💜💜

@emanate Trance low-key saved my life as always being a link to positivity and warmth in a way that cut through depression that engulfed my life. Sometimes, back then, it was the only time i’d genuinely smile, like when i’d catch that melody that just tingled that Right Place.
I love Trance, and i think i largely took that for granted until i met you ^^’
