Anime I should go back and watch
While my full-blown interest in anime waned a long time ago, I will always have a soft spot for Paranoia Agent, Paprika, and Serial Experiments Lain. As well as the space western trifecta of Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Outlaw Star.
And I can't forget Kaiba. My favorite show that never made it across the Pacific. A dark and twisted romance story/social statement with the saccharin aesthetic of Osamu Tezuka.
@chr@cybre.space @reasdoinaheckinmeetup Aaaah. Not sure if I'd be able to make it. I have a solstice party at my arts collective that day. But I do plan on going to Glowtide!
@lizardsquid I'm a lizard who became a dragon. There's a very archetypal aspect in how that came to be.
@Oneironott I'd have to agree!
Introspection
Somewhere, before I was born, I chose this body for a reason. That I know. It had to have a purpose, and it's a race against the short time I have to figure out why. I chose my parents for a reason, I was put in these circumstances for a reason.
Maybe it was out of curiosity? I wanted to see what being human was like and realized it was a truly fucked up situation I got myself into? Or is it something more? Either way, I feel like I'm well on the right path to figuring out why.
Gross violation of cross-dimensional physics
@emanate Aaaand you'd be correct. xP
Gross violation of cross-dimensional physics
@emanate One must be mindful when making a tesseract out of sticks, duct tape, and saran wrap. Lest a multitude of things can go horribly wrong. xP

Augh! Oh my god! What the he'll have I??? Clearly I need to rework my ability to summon fourth dimensional objects to this plane. I barely shred our very universe to bring this thing together! https://awoo.space/media/DnRieNFl1TaUe4EBNCk

When blowing balloons to make winter solstice lanterns, watch out for getting too winded!

Gender
There are several times where I've questioned my gender. Or even would consider myself gender fluid or nonbinary. I acknowledge that I have a female side to me. But I choose to remain a cisgender male because I want to serve as a positive role model for the other men out there that are struggling against the toxic expectations and conformist pressures that society has on them.
I honestly can't say it enough times. I owe my life to the postfurry community and those who were willing to lend an ear to the hardships I faced. My life has turned back around and I fully rediscovered myself in the process.
I have a long and hard story to tell. But I'm always willing to share it to those who are interested in knowing why I'm here, and why I wish to be such a loyal and loving friend.
A thought-experiment
@amalgam Gotta go with The Conquest of Bread.
What is postfurry? At the very core, it's a way of approaching what identity means.
Furry has been all about answering the question "what if people can also be animals?"
Postfurry says "okay, we can go even further than that. What if we claim authorial control over every aspect of identity? We're animal-people sure, but that's only a starting point. If the poststructuralists are right and all meaning is negotiable, let's go exploring and write some meanings of our own."
Parental Gratitude
20 years ago, my mother divorced my father. My formative years were raised in a matriarchy. My younger sister and my single mother were the only other family in the house.
After it was discovered that I was on the spectrum, my mother faught and advocated for me all the way until I graduated high school.
I'll never take for granted her abundant compassion, love, and patience. With those virtues, I want to give back to the world in the fullest way possible.
