@monorail This is just when we normally wake up. Our class isn't until 12:30.

@monorail Freshly awakened, but doing alright. I hope you are as well?

@GlitterDisaster@snouts.online @Felthry I'd like to see those two brought into the new canon too, but I don't see how either of them could be.

@GlitterDisaster@snouts.online @Felthry They're bringing Thrawn into the new canon? That's good to hear. He was easily one of the most interesting characters, along with Mara Jade and Pellaeon.

@GlitterDisaster@snouts.online @Felthry We'd still highly recommend reading the old books. Maybe not all of them, but there are some really good series; the ones revolving around Thrawn are especially good.

@GlitterDisaster@snouts.online @Felthry That's not a name we recognise. I was hoping it'd be a name like Timothy Zahn, someone who wrote some of the really good books from the old canon. But these could be good too!

@GlitterDisaster@snouts.online @Felthry Oh, one from after Disney got the series? Who wrote it?

@Felthry @GlitterDisaster@snouts.online Oh! That's neat to see, what book was it?

I wonder just how badly the Hero of Winds messed up the weather in the Great Sea?

@girl Yes, and anyone who is linked to them or looks at a reply to them, or a post they're a reply to, can see them as well.

@typhlosion It does if the top and bottom secrets are both about grain-based foods.

@ashiinu@snouts.online Is that weird now? We always kind of assumed each game maker would make their own engine.

@JulieSqveakaroo I think you could make most types of noodle work well with most types of sauce; the challenge is to get something that makes one wonder whether it's Italian or Asian.

Mixing soy sauce with marinara, for example, though I doubt that would taste too good on its own.

A culinary challenge that just came to mind: Find a good way to combine Asian-style noodle dishes with Italian-style pasta dishes, in a way that feels only minimally forced and doesn't taste weird.

@daylight "curses" is the name of an old, obsolete library for semi-graphical output on a text-only terminal. I believe the original Rogue game used it. "ncurses", which stands for "new curses", is a less old but now also obsolete library that did the same thing and expanded on it; the original Nethack was written using it.

@pearshapes@snouts.online We're here, just quiet!

@Trinket It's a cute name, and one that I think suits you.
