Gen 5 would probably be the most interesting, just because if you go to gen 6 or 7 you have access to ORAS, which gets you all the hoenn pokemon without needing any transfers. Also, you can do up to gen 5 without using any software other than the games themselves; transferring from 5 to 6 requires a transfer program external to the pokemon games, and 6 to 7 requires that you use that online box thing.

Still thinking about routing out a glitchless catch-em-all speedrun of a recent pokemon game, that involves trading and transferring up through generations of pokemon games in order to get ones not otherwise available.

I learned a new word today, one that seems useful for nothing more than sounding pretentious and filling in esoteric crosswords: antejentacular, meaning "pre-breakfast".

A glitchless complete-pokedex run of any of the more recent pokemon games would be interesting, as it would necessarily involve playing multiple games. I'd like to see someone speedrun that sometime. Or at least route it out.

Hey @starkatt, you seem like the most likely person to know out of the people we know; do you know what the proper method for stripping polyimide-insulated litz wire is? Considering it has thousands of individually-insulated strands I assume you're not meant to manually remove the insulation from each one. Is there a solvent to use or something?

No problem if you don't know, I just thought I'd ask just in case. I can't seem to find anything online.

I think gmail might just be blocking all links due to it looking suspicious--and for once, I would agree with google that an email telling us we should sign up for the paypal credit card with ridiculous% APR is pretty suspicious even if it is legitimate.

Why is it that, if a cis person gets someone's name wrong and they correct them saying they prefer to go by a nickname or their middle name or something, it's accepted without question, but if a trans person corrects someone and says what their real name is, they get told they're wrong?

A thought, that we probably won't act on but would like to see someone act on: A collection of at least one example of every package in the JEDEC TO series. The popular ones will be easy, but when's the last time you saw a TO-99 in the wild? Do you even know what a TO-106 looks like? Because I certainly don't.

For bonus points, go with every known lead-count variant of each one.

If we go a little while without talking to someone, it tends to get harder and harder to talk to them later, even if I know they wouldn't mind. But as time passes it starts to feel like saying hi would be too awkward, and that only feeds back in on itself to feeling increasingly awkward and less and less likely that either of us will work up the courage to say hi.

I don't know how to fix this problem. It doesn't seem to be present in group settings, like a group chat or a classroom, but one-on-one interactions just get progressively harder.

And then we start feeling guilty for not talking to the person in question, which is its own problem.
