@PK I'm not actually sure how it would handle clipping, so I dunnoooo
@PK go for it, "a pile of shitty rubble" is basically my aesthetic at this point, so it seems fine
@datastains I'm gonna be an osprey just so I can keep trying to land on your head or something
@Amarimew haha, uh, oops. I definitely faves this because I read "bitey" in a way different context.
(I promise I'm not actually faving your misfortune 🙁)
I definitely wish this thing had a CW whitelist. Because there are a fair number of really common CWs that don't bother me, but make me stop scrolling and poke at a tiny button on a touch interface, and that's... inconvenient.
I still like CWs - they're a great feature. There's just a few I wish I could say "always show me this" to, for me, personally.
@PK okay, so I looked up how Dolby B works, and is it possible the pops happen because you're clipping your high frequencies during recording (since Dolby B boosts high frequencies when recording)
Anxiety
@Nurbs :(
I hope things sort of level out and start going better for you soon
@PK Yeah, I think I followed you here waaay back, but until the last few days when more people started poking at this thing, I mostly ignored it for months at a time.
@XerTheSquirrel but to be clear, I still don't want to migrate en masse if it can be avoided, and I'm not sure if the twitter social model is even that great, but whatever. Just roll with however this all shakes out, I guess.
@XerTheSquirrel at least tweetdeck for twitter still kept things chronological, as well as 3rd party mobile clients (that's the only way twitter is still usable for me... if they take those away, I'm gone)
@XerTheSquirrel for me, it's a hedge against twitter going the rest of the way into total asshole mode
I've got issues with its overall structure and privacy (wouldn't trust it with an AD account) but I'm sure you've read the same threads as I have, so I won't rehash that.
Its web interface got better since last time I looked at it though.
I can't go to hell - I'm all out of vacation days.
Birds are good. Computers are bad. I'm too old for this.
