Almost to the Solstice. This is my season now, my time. Spring itched through my veins months ago and now it's flowering into full Summer in just a day and a few hours.
It's a shame to be so low on energy anyway... but at least this year is better than two years ago was.
Why am I not allowed to bite the dentist.
Basically I think universal health care and basic income should be a thing.
If I could quit my job and focus on making awesome experiences for my tabletop groups, creative things for my own amusement, and sometimes write useful things for other people to think about, that would basically be The Good Place for me.

Idle thought:
Cyberpunk narratives that paint body-modification as a negative thing because of "loss of humanity", are subtly transphobic because they associate essence with the physical body. That to modify the body is to negatively modify the mind.
It also presumes that to become less human is to also become less empathetic, whereas a person should be allowed to be non-human, or maybe even not a "person", without losing empathy and sapience.

Also I know now JUST HOW FAR the character who hates hot places is going to need to travel to find someplace reliably cool. They live just south of the equator.
It's pretty far.
Me: "Hey wait, I've been doing this prep work for my game and inventing countries, but I don't actually know what their climates are like, I should look at that."
Me Later: "Shit, the tropics are huge and the subtropics are small. Is that right?"
Me Later: "Okay so I did it right this time and the tropics are still huge but it's like that on the real world in most map projections."
Me Later: "Spheres are WEIRD and so are planets but at least I know people in this empire are wearing shorts."
